Welcome
The Center for Cultural Development of Children (CCDC) was established in 2001 as a non-government, non-profit and non-political organization with the goal of enhancing public learning and education in general, and improvement and development of life skills for children - specifically children in deprived regions of Iran. The primary activity of CCDC is to build libraries in remote and underprivileged villages, continuously supply books and material to these libraries, and providing training and support to its librarians. Fully aware that a comprehensive improvement of general education is not possible without a broad knowledge of local culture, especially from early ages of childhood, CCDC solicited the help of children’s advocates. Taking advantage from their expertise and experience in enriching and cultivating social/cultural aspects of children’s lives, CCDC is engaged in a wide range of activities in line with its goals in various rural areas of the country. These activities, enntirely organized and managed by a volunteer force with all expenses funded through donations of benefactors, include: Workshops for Training of Librarians Educational Assistance Programs Vocational Schools Council of Development and Training Publication of educational pamphlets and child development brochures
